A noon time walk was exactly what Lars needed. He needed a break of the shop and a smoke. Of course, he kept the tattoo shop a free smoking zone, as far as he was concerned, if you didn't want to smell second hand smoke then don't come in. That was all that needed to be said. He liked the fact his tattoo shop smelled like a sleazy bar, really, and as if he cared if people judged him for that, he had kick ass flash art that the most anti-cigarette individual could appreciate.
So Lars locked up the fort and flipped the "Be back at" sign, moving the little clock to 2PM. Two hours was more than enough time to grab a little lunch. Plus it was the middle of the week, and walk-ins weren't as frequent. There were obvious pros and cons of summer not yet being here; shortage of customers means shortage of money, but just enough extra time. When the summer months arrived, alone with the flood of tourists his needle wouldn't get to rest.
He walked along the cobbled sidewalk, the marveled cigarette hanging between his lips lazily as he squinted through his aviators. He was clad in a simple short-sleeve T-shirt and jeans, he'd left his longish hair alone that morning, the ends curling gently.
A breeze was coming of the water as the sun beat down on the southern town, making for a nice, pleasant day in Savannah, Georgia.
He was contemplating on little things like what he was going to have for lunch before a horse drawn carriage went by, it's thin wheels splashing the slightest bit of mud Lars's way. Tried to dodge it he did, but his efforts didn't help him thoroughly as the brown much got on the bottom of his pants and his shoes. Grimacing a little Lars watched the carriage simply move past. Picking himself out of the momentary 'That fucker did not just do that shit' stage, he shook off the mud and continued on. It'd dry after all. [/color]

The light flooded into the dusty atmosphere of the old bar. The rays bouncing off all the particles floating in the air. As her eyes glanced over the disaster area that would soon be her dream bar she ran a hand through her silky blonde locks. A sigh sliding past her crimson lips. She dipped the paint brush in the bucket for some final strokes on the faded walls. "Maybe one day it'll look better." She muttered to herself as the brush laid fresh paint on the walls. She eyed her work then set the brush down. She glanced down at her paint splattered watch only to find it was almost lunch time. She grabbed a towel and wiped off her hands hoping to ride herself of any excess paint. It wasn't much help though so she shrugged and headed out the door into the sunny afternoon air.
She reached in her pocket and pulled from it a pack of cigarettes. She quickly removed one and proceeded to light it. She hated the habit but found she couldn't break it. As she inhaled her mind began to wonder to thoughts of how this year had gone so quickly it felt like it'd only been weeks since her mother had passed away but in reality it'd been months. Long enough for her to move savanah and purchase a bar. As she walked down the street she glanced around not really seeing anyone else. Just a Horse drawn carriage further down. She strolled on still unsure of where she was headed still new to the area she had no idea where anything was.
She heard the sound of hooves as she walked and she glanced up to study the horse and carriage passing by her. She couldn't help but study the beatiful animal as it paraded by. The next moment she felt herself collide with something rather hard and then land sitting on the ground. She noticed a pair of muddy shoes before her and her face instantly turned red.

"Fuck," Lars said under his breath as he turned back around to start walking. His cigarette had flown from his hand and now lay on the cobbled sidewalk, totally useless. He frowned down at it, displeased that his treat was spoiled. But he was a human after all, and just sighed it off, offering a hand down to the blushing girl who'd collided with him. A ruined cigarette was no reason to not be civil.
"Sorry about that," he said as he extended a tattooed hand to the blonde on the ground. He ran his tongue between his dry lips once as he studied the collision. She was fair looking, had nice lips and recognizable eyes. He wouldn't go as far to say he was seriously attracted to her, but he'd give her credit on the fact she wasn't an eyesore. Blondes just didn't fill the bill with Lars, what could he say.
The more he studied, the more he got the feeling he'd seen her before. His mind raced to all the places he'd been in the past few weeks, trying to find her in the mix. Maybe I've just seen her on River Street? But he realized he'd studied for a tad too long, feeling his own cheeks flush lightly, "Sorry, uhm-" he stuttered grinning, offering his hand again, "Lars Trell, it's a-" he broke the sentence with a single chuckle considering the circumstances, "nice meeting you."

She sat for a moment still slightly stunned by what had happend. "I am So Sorry." she blushed more as she spoke. How could i have been that stupid? she thought to herself before realizing the man before her had offered a hand to help her up. She reached forward taking his hand and getting back on her feet. She ran a hand down the back of her jeans trying to brush off any of the mud. She blushed again and studied the guy before her.
She looked down at her self everything seemed to be in order and she didn't seem to have hurt him. She looked up at him for a second he seemed familiar but that was impossible she'd just moved here. She really shouldn't find anyone familiar but there was something about him. She shifted her weight uneasily as he seemed to study her. She smiled warmly and extended her hand to meet his. She shook her head and smiled broader as he introduced himself. "Reliegh Saint-Claire, It's nice to meet you too." She blushed. "I wish it'd been in a little different circumstance.." she trailed off still trying to place the man before her. She grinned for a second. "I'm sorry this is going to sound stupid but have a i seen you before?" she knew she'd sounded stupid asking but it was going to bug her til she found out. Maybe she'd met him at a TAPS meeting or mayeb she'd just passed him somewhere.

There it was. Lars's insides made the smallest of yips at the fact that his suspicions on the fact he'd seen her before had been confirmed. He knew he wasn't crazy. Lars nodded at the fact, "Yeah, I was just about to ask that," he nodded as he shuffled through his pockets to retrieve another cigarette. Once his lighter was out and the cancer stick between his lips and lighted he glanced back up at Reliegh.
"Can't pin-point exactly where though," he spoke up after a took a drag and exhaled downward between them. Lars glanced out at the water, the large carrier ships going by slowly along, or so it seemed slowly, as the little sailboats whipped on past, carried by the nice tunnel effect that the taller buildings round it gave, more air to push them along.
Glancing back at the girl Lars hesitated his next words, "So, I was actually going to lunch," he said, pointing forward behind her, "But uh, you can join me if you want I guess, if you'd like," he offered, "At least until we find out where we saw each other." No, his time schedule wasn't that crunched, but he felt like it was slipping away while they stood there trying to figure it out when they could be trying to figure it out while moving forward.

She smiled in relief as the other seemed to share her feelings of familiarity. She watched him search in his pockets wondering for a split second what he was looking for then watched as he lit the cigarette. She bit her lip lightly resisting the urge to light one herself. She pushed the thoughts to the back of her mind and stood there for a second her mind still racing to everything she'd done since she got here a mere two weeks ago.
"Yeah i'm having the same problem." She followed his gaze to the water as the ships went by. She did have to say this place had a peacefulness about it. She actually loved being close to the water and it had turned out so well when she'd purchased the bar which had a perfect view. She felt her stomach growl lightly and had completely forgot her mission to find food.
As she heard the voice float across to her she turnt quickly forgetting for a second he had been here. She smiled politely as he offered for her to join him. She bit her lip indecisive for a second then smiled. "Umm.. Sure i'd like that. I was actually just headed to try to find somewhere to eat." she tried not to sound needy as she accepted his offer but it'd be nice if someone was there to point her toward food she was hopeless when it came to finding things. She glanced at her watch and shook her head it was a pointless action she had no place to be in a hurry all she had to do was paint that old bar.
